Though I am not (yet) physically "done" (mentally is another question! LOL) I have learned to allow myself ~ time ~ now, when for so many decades, I did not, I would not, I could not...
too afraid of something. (?)
I have 2 small doggos, older now, but they still get zoomies - daily. We have a small home with sort of a circular "track" around my artdesk in the middle of our living room area. They engage me to "chase" them every day right before we have our dinner & treats etc. I bought a gripper arm so ppl can pick up stuff they can no longer reach, so I could grab their toys and throw them without having to pull them away and engage in yanking sessions. LOL (not good for their teeth)
ANYWAY... the long-arm-of-the-law (as i like to call it) makes a noise they like (?) to run from as I clank it open and shut and chase them...
I may have created a monster situation...
My point is that this is completely exhausting for me. Ha Ha
I love the pictures you paint in my mind, 0guru0method0teacher, of how you sensibly stay active, play games with your pups, bring fun into your life every day!
LOL, Thanks Steph. Sometimes I wonder if I should do the long-comment! ho ho
I go to the gym/pool daily m-f year round so I still get my little workouts in. The boys lay around the house waiting for mom to get home to do "dog stuff".
By the time we do this little rountine, I am POOPED out! (around 6pm)
But I get a ton of satisfaction knowing they had some fun before we watch TV for the evening.
I like hearing what various poems bring up for people. I wanted Words That Fly to be a source of connection celebrating the commonality or differences in our lives!
Fabulous life-journey depiction!
